uni-ball Signo 207 Anti-Fraud Archival Gel Pen
The uni-ball® Signo® 207 gel pen has valuable features for use in check writing, legal and financial transactions, and important documents and records. Our product review finds it is a good choice for notaries.
uni Super Ink for Fraud Prevention
The uni Super Ink®, made from exclusive pigment-based ink, forms an indelible bond in paper, for intense coloration and document security. Because the ink bonds to the paper, it resists fraud by criminals attempting to erase and change a signature or tamper with other document information using chemical check washing.
Acid-Free Ink for Archival Records
The uni Super Ink formula is acid-free, making it suitable for archival storage of paper records. It should be used with acid-free paper, documents and notary journals for the preservation of archived paper records. Ink containing acid may fade over time, especially when exposed to light. Paper containing acid may turn yellow over time.
Since notary records must be stored and preserved for many years, archival ink and archival paper should be used, with records stored in a secure, controlled environment.
The pigmented ink is also water-resistant, protecting against smearing if a document gets wet.

Tips for Removing 207 Ink Stain from Clothing
Avoid contact with clothing. Do not store in a shirt pocket, or add a plastic cap.
Washable Garments
Step 1 – Use household ammonia* and water (*1 teaspoon of ammonia per gallon of water). Add an enzyme-type detergent, such as ERA Active Stainfighter or Tide Liquid Coldwater. Or try an enzyme-type stain remover.
Step 2 – With an old toothbrush, scrub stain. Rinse with warm water.
Dry Clean Only Garments
Take the item to a commercial dry cleaner who employs a “spotter” and advise dry cleaner that the stain is a pigmented, water-based ink.
Tips for Unclogging Gel Ink Pen
If a gel ink pen clogs or skips, try these tips. Open the pen to see if the translucent ink cartridge is empty. If there is plenty of ink, try soaking the cartridge in warm water for five minutes. Also, try cleaning the tip of dried ink with a household kitchen cleaner. Test the ink flow by scribbling circles on scrap paper.

We recommend the uni-ball Signo 207 gel ink pen for check writing, legal, financial and medical documents and records, and for notaries.
