Reasons<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Model Notary Act 2010<\/strong>, states in Section 6-1(b) Imposition and Waiver of Fees:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>A notary shall not discriminatorily condition the fee for a notarial\u00a0act on the attributes of the principal, though a notary may waive or reduce\u00a0fees for humanitarian or charitable reasons.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A notary may be selective in choosing cases, but the selection criteria must not be based on illegal <strong>discrimination<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>maximum notary fee<\/strong> is set by state law, but the notary fee may be <strong>reduced<\/strong> or <strong>waived<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pro_Bono_Notary_Services\"><\/span>Pro Bono Notary Services<span
