\"SanDiskSanDisk 128GB micro SDXC<\/h1>\n

SanDisk<\/strong> has announced the introduction of the SanDisk 128GB<\/strong> micro SDXC<\/strong> memory card<\/strong>.\u00a0 This is the world\u2019s largest capacity micro SD<\/strong> card.\u00a0 It is designed for mobile consumer devices, including smartphones<\/strong> and tablet PCs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In 2004, 128 MB<\/strong> memory cards became available.\u00a0 Now, 10 years later, the storage capacity has increased an amazing 1,000 times to SanDisk 128GB<\/strong>.\u00a0 This opens new opportunities for storing large amounts of data including videos<\/strong>, music<\/strong>, and photos<\/strong>, as well as storage and backup<\/strong> for data files<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Local Offline Backup<\/h2>\n

Although cloud storage<\/strong> is a fast-growth industry, there are some concerns about privacy<\/strong> and security<\/strong>.\u00a0 Local\u00a0offline backup<\/strong><\/a> to a micro SDXC memory card allows the user to keep a local copy of important and confidential files on a tiny removable<\/strong> memory card.\u00a0 The memory card can be easily stored in a fireproof safe<\/a><\/strong><\/span> or at an offsite<\/strong> location as protection from onsite risks of data loss<\/strong> due to fire<\/strong>, storm<\/strong> damage or theft<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The tiny SanDisk 128GB memory card is about the size of a fingernail and is rugged<\/strong> and can withstand a wide temperature range<\/strong>.\u00a0 These memory cards are not fast, like a solid-state disk<\/strong>, but they are ideal for storage of videos, music, and photos, and for backup of data files.\u00a0 It is described as Ideal for shooting Full HD video<\/strong> and high-quality pictures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I use SanDisk<\/strong> micro SDXC<\/strong> memory cards as part of my data backup<\/strong> plan.\u00a0 I also use secure<\/strong>, encrypted<\/strong> cloud storage<\/strong> from Filen <\/strong>for remote backup.\u00a0 I no longer use hard disk<\/strong> drives and don’t have to worry about disk crashes.<\/p>\n
