These Public Health Orders will now end (20-38 | 20-20), but requirements for COVID-19 disease mitigation practices, vaccination and treatment plans for certain health facility licensees, as well as ongoing hospital data reporting will continue as emergency rules for 120 days because of the Board of Health\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Polis_Administration_Releases_%E2%80%9CColorados_Next_Chapter_Our_Roadmap_to_Moving_Forward%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>Polis Administration Releases \u201cColorado\u2019s Next Chapter: Our Roadmap to Moving Forward\u201d<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>DENVER (Feb 25, 2022) &#8211; Today, Governor Polis and administration officials outlined \u201cColorado\u2019s Next Chapter: Our Roadmap to Moving Forward\u201d and discussed the steps the administration believes are necessary to maintain a level of preparedness and agility that will keep Coloradans Safe and healthy \u2014 no matter if it is for the next wave of this pandemic or an unknown pandemic in the future.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Colorado_Safer-at-Home_Order_expired\"><\/span><span id=\"Colorado_SaferatHome_Order\" class=\"ez-toc-section\"><\/span>Colorado Safer-at-Home Order [expired]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Governor issued a statewide\u00a0<a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/covid19.colorado.gov\/stay-home-except-essential-needs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Colorado Stay-at-Home Order [new window]<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(<strong>Public Health Order 20-24<\/strong>) effective March 26 until\u00a0<strong>April 26, 2020<\/strong>, (extended from April 11th), (except for the listed critical activities essential to your health and safety) to minimize the spread of COVID-19 by reducing close contact with other people or contaminated air, papers, items or surfaces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Maintain 6-feet social distancing from other people.\u00a0 Do not shake hands, touch or hug when greeting.\u00a0 Do not share pens.\u00a0 Pay online with a credit card, not cash.\u00a0 Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer after touching a contaminated item or surface.\u00a0 Disinfect items and surfaces using\u00a0<strong><a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/pesticide-registration\/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EPA registered List N disinfectants [new window]<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0according to label directions before touching.\u00a0 Do not touch your face before disinfecting your hands.\u00a0 Wear a face mask and disposable gloves. Remove and disinfect your shoes when you get home. Stay at home if you are coughing, sneezing, have a fever or feel sick, or if you have been exposed to a sick person or coronavirus contamination.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Failure to comply with a Public Health Order may result in a misdemeanor criminal conviction with a fine of $500 to $5,000 and\/or six to eighteen months in jail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Under the\u00a0<strong><a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.colorado.gov\/governor\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-files\/D%202020%20044%20Safer%20at%20Home.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Colorado Safer-at-Home Order PDF [new window]<\/a><\/strong>, many listed \u201c<strong>non-essential<\/strong>\u201d businesses re-opened on Monday, April 27th, following infection prevention and control guidelines, with strict precautions and protections for nursing homes. Bars, restaurant dining rooms, and clubs are expected to remain closed until the middle of May.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Retailers may offer curbside delivery starting April 27th, and then may reopen, with social distancing measures in place, on Friday, May 1st.\u00a0\u00a0Dental offices, salons, tattoo shops, dog grooming, and other businesses offering personal services may reopen by following appropriate precautions and social distancing measures. Elective medical services and surgeries may begin again. Offices may reopen with 50 percent of the workforce starting Monday, May 4th.\u00a0 Schools will remain closed to in-person instruction for the rest of the school year. Childcare centers may reopen with strict precautions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Seniors<\/strong>\u00a0over age 60 and vulnerable populations need to Stay at Home except when absolutely necessary, and need to use strict precautions and protections when leaving home.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Governor extended the Colorado state of emergency for 30 more days on April 8th and monthly since then.\u00a0 Many rural counties in Colorado have reported few or no cases of COVID-19.\u00a0 Some Colorado cities and counties are following re-opening guidelines that differ from the Governor\u2019s Safer-at-Home guidelines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Colorado General Assembly was on extended pandemic recess for two months. The legislative session resumed on Tuesday,\u00a0May 26th.
