Essential web pages offering services and customer support are being evaluated, reviewed, fixed, upgraded, and tested to conform with WCAG accessibility guidelines.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Accessibility_Testing_Tools_and_Log\"><\/span>Accessibility Testing Tools and Log<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">For <strong>quality assurance<\/strong>, we evaluate our website periodically using the <a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/wave.webaim.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (WAVE) [new window]<\/strong><\/a> browser extension, created by WebAIM.org, and the <strong><a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.deque.com\/axe\/browser-extensions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">axe Accessibility [new window]<\/a><\/strong> browser extension, created by Deque Systems, Inc., third-party authorities in web accessibility. New or revised content is checked to conform with the latest accessibility guidelines, as reported by the tools.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/WAI\/WCAG21\/quickref\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>WCAG Quick Reference<\/strong><\/a> is used to look up brief information on accessibility guidelines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We also use manual code inspection and testing and the free <strong><a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nvaccess.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) screen reader [new window]<\/a><\/strong> to check functionality.\u00a0 We will seek volunteers with disabilities to test our essential web pages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In our business records, we keep a list of accessibility testing, results, remediation efforts, and notes in a spreadsheet log.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We add a Web Accessibility checkmark symbol &#8220;<strong>WAcc &#x2611;<\/strong>&#8221; to the end of web pages that we have evaluated and remediated.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Accessibility_Training_and_Education\"><\/span>Accessibility Training and Education<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We learn about accessibility news, issues, tools, testing, evaluation, remediation, and compliance from subject matter experts. We use self-study by reading websites, blogs, newsletters, and manuals, watching videos, and completing training classes.\u00a0 Continuing education is used to increase accessibility knowledge and to stay current on new and changing information and practices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We browse for information at the <strong><a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/forum\/accessibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WordPress Accessibility Forum [new window]<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Jerry Lucas, CEO, has completed the <a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/WAI\/tutorials\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>W3C Web Accessibility Tutorials [new window]<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 He has completed <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/abclegaldocs.com\/blog-Colorado-Notary\/wp-content\/uploads\/edX-Web-Accessibility-Course-Transcript-Lucas-2020-08-25.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Intro to Web Accessibility PDF [new window]<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, a 16-hour self-paced course created by W3C, on the <strong>edX<\/strong> website.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Jerry has completed an online webinar from the <strong><a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/globalaccessibilityawarenessday.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Global Accessibility Awareness Day [new window]<\/a><\/strong> held each year in May.\u00a0 He has also viewed online content for the <strong><a style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/development\/desa\/disabilities\/international-day-of-persons-with-disabilities-3-december.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) [new window]<\/a><\/strong> observed by the United Nations, held on December 3rd each year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">He has also written a blog article <strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/abclegaldocs.com\/blog-Colorado-Notary\/deaf-hard-of-hearing-notary-guide\/\">Deaf and Hard of Hearing Notary Guide<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Perceivable_Operable_Understandable_Robust\"><\/span>Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, Robust<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We seek to Include the four principal accessible design elements in our web pages.
